

Mississippi University for Women in Columbus received a $90,000 grant from the U.S. Department of Education that will fund a four-week summer institute for 20 local middle school mathematics teachers this June. The goal of the Common Core Mathematics Institute is to assistant middle school teachers in developing technology-rich instructional lessons in mathematics.
The School of Medicine and Health Sciences at the University of North Dakota received a three-year grant from the National Institute of Mental Health to study the effectiveness of a new treatment for binge eating disorder. While eating disorders impact all segments of the population, women are twice as likely as men to have an eating disorder.
