Six Women in New Administrative Posts at Delaware State University

dsulogoDelaware State University in Dover, has announced the appointment of several women to leadership positions.

DeLauder, Dr SaundraSaundra F. DeLauder was named dean of graduate studies at the university. Since 1996 she has held several positions at North Carolina Central University in Durham including associate dean of the College of Science and Technology and interim dean of graduate studies.

Dr. DeLauder holds a bachelor’s degree in chemistry, a master’s degree in physical chemistry and a Ph.D. in analytical chemistry, all from Howard University in Washington, D.C.

Downing, Dr Stacy 200Stacy L. Downing was appointed vice president of student affairs. She is the former vice president of student affairs at Philander Smith College in Little Rock, Arkansas. From 1999 to 2011, she was an administrator at the University of Cincinnati.

Dr. Downing holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology, a master’s degree in criminal justice and a doctorate in urban education leadership, all from the University of Cincinnati.

Horton, Marsha T Dr 200Marsha T. Horton was named interim dean of the College of Education, Health and Public Policy. She was dean and associate professor of education at Virginia Union University in Richmond.

Dr. Horton is a graduate of Sweet Briar College in Virginia and holds a doctorate in educational psychology from the University of Illinois.

Ramsey, Ebony M 200Ebony M. Ramsey was named director of student leadership and activities. She was director of student activities at Winston-Salem State University in North Carolina. She has been on the staff at Winston-Salem State since 2002.

Ramsey holds a bachelor’s degree in theatre and a master’s degree in education from North Carolina A&T State University in Greensboro.

HIll, Erin 200Erin Hill was appointed assistant vice president of enrollment management. Since 2002 she has held admissions and enrollment management posts at Appalachian State University in Boone, North Carolina. Most recently she was executive director of admissions.

Hill holds a bachelor’s degree in communication and a master’s degree in higher education administration from Appalachian State.

Adams, Pamela Rev 200Pamela Adams is the new director of spiritual life and university chaplain. She was a chaplain at Johns Hopkins University Hospital in Baltimore and spent nearly 10 years in the U.S. Air Force.

Adams holds bachelor’s and graduate degrees in theology from the Amora Deliverance Theological Institute in Fayetteville, North Carolina.
