Maureen Kenny was appointed the ninth dean of the Lynch School of Education at Boston College. She has been serving as interim dean since 2011. Previously, she was associate dean at the school and has been a full professor since 2005.
Professor Kenny is a graduate of Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island. She earned a master’s degree from Columbia University and a doctorate from the University of Pennsylvania.
Joyce E. McConnell was reappointed to a second five-year term as dean of the College of Law at West Virginia University. She has been a faculty member at the law school since 1995. Previously, she taught at the University of Maryland and the City University of New York.
Professor McConnell is a graduate of Evergreen State College in Olympia, Washington, and the Antioch School of Law. She also holds a master’s degree from the Georgetown University Law Center.
