Boston College Scholar to Lead Association of Catholic Hispanic Theologians

Nancy Pineda-Madrid, an associate professor in the School of Theology and Ministry at Boston College was elected vice president of the Academy of Catholic Hispanic Theologians of the United States. She will serve in this role for one year and then be president-elect for one year. Then in 2015, she will become president of the academy.
Professor Pineda-Madrid is the author of Suffering and Salvation in Ciudad Juarez (Fortress Press, 2011). Dr. Pineda-Madrid is a graduate of Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles. She holds a master of divinity degree from Seattle University and a Ph.D. in systematic and philosophical theology from the Graduate Theological Union in Berkeley, California.
