Trinity College Adds Five Women to Its Faculty

trinity-collegeTrinity College, the highly rated liberal arts educational institution in Hartford, Connecticut, has announced the hiring of eight new faculty as tenure-track assistant professors. Five of the new appointees are women.

Katherine Bergren was named an assistant professor of English at the college. She is a graduate of Wellesley College in Massachusetts and holds a master’s degree and a Ph.D. in English from the University of California at Los Angeles.

casserlyElizabeth Casserly was hired as an assistant professor of psychology. She is a graduate of Yale University, where she majored in linguistics. Dr. Casserly holds a master’s degree and a Ph.D. in psychological and brain sciences and linguistics from Indiana University in Bloomington.

Tamsin Jones was appointed assistant professor of religion. She is a graduate of McGill University in Montreal, where she majored in religious studies. She earned a master’s degree and a doctorate in theology from Harvard Divinity School.

kovarikMichelle Kovarik is a new assistant professor of chemistry at Trinity College. She is a graduate of Saint Louis University and holds a Ph.D. in analytical chemistry from Indiana University. She has been serving as a postdoctoral fellow at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Regan-LefebvreJennifer Reagan-Lefebvre was named assistant professor of history. She is a graduate of the Georgetown University School of Foreign Service. She holds a master’s degree in Irish history and a Ph.D. in history from Queen’s University in Belfast, Northern Ireland.

Dr. Wisdom, superintendent of New Bloomfield R-III Schools in Missouri, is a four-time graduate of William Woods University. She is slated to assume the presidency of alma mater on July 1.
