Three Women Are Promoted and Awarded Tenure at Marietta College in Ohio

MariettaMarietta College in Ohio has announced that three women faculty members will be promoted to associate professor on July 1 and awarded tenure. The college enrolls about 1,600 students and women make up 46 percent of the undergraduate student body.

Ann Bragg will be an associate professor of physics. She also serves as director of the Anne Hancock Planetarium at the college. Dr. Bragg joined the Marietta College faculty in 2008. She previously taught at Bowling Green State University. She is a graduate of Rice University in Houston and holds a master’s degree and a Ph.D. in astronomy from Harvard University.

Tanya Judd Pucella will become an associate professor of education and leadership studies. Her research focuses on teacher leadership and educator burnout. She joined the faculty at Marietta College in 2006 after earning her doctorate at the University of Central Florida in Orlando. She holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of Florida.

Nicole Livengood is currently serving as an assistant professor of English. She specializes in early American literature, particularly on women authors of the 19th century. She joined the faculty at the college in 2008. Dr. Livengood is a graduate of the University of Minnesota and holds a master’s degree in English literature and a Ph.D. in early American literature and women’s literature from Purdue University in West Lafayette Indiana.
