Spelman College Establishes Research and Teaching Partnerships with Three Nigerian Universities

Spelman College, a women’s college in Atlanta, has recently signed a new partnership agreement with three universities in Lagos, Nigeria: the University of Lagos, Lagos State University, and Pan-Atlantic University.

Through their new agreement, the four universities will collaborate on teaching, research, and exchange programs in an effort to strengthen the educational ties between the United States, Nigeria, and other African communities. The universities’ various initiatives will have a particular focus on women’s education, STEM fields, and creative industries.

The partnership initiative is supported by the United States Consulate and the President’s Advisory Council on African Diaspora Engagement.
