Quaneshia T. Armstrong has been named senior associate vice president of finance at Grambling State University in Louisiana. She has over two decades of experience in accounting, and operations at both private companies and higher education institutions. Earlier in her career she taught accounting at Grambling State University.
Armstrong holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Grambling State University and an MBA in accounting from Indiana Wesleyan University. She is currently pursuing a doctorate in business administration at the University of Dallas.
Karol Kain Gray has been appointed interim chief financial officer at Howard University in Washington, D.C. With over four decades of higher education administrative experience, she most recently served as senior vice president and chief financial officer at Virginia Commonwealth University. Prevously, she served as vice chancellor for finance and administration at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Gray holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a concentration in accounting from Hofstra University in New York.
Lynda Moore-White has been named assistant dean of interdisciplinary studies at Mississippi State University. She has worked for the university for over two decades, most recently serving as director of the University Academic Advising Center. Earlier in her tenure, she spent 15 years in various positions with Mississippi State University’s Division of Athletics.
Moore-White holds a bachelor’s degree in English from Stetson University in Florida and a master’s degree from Mississippi College. She is currently pursuing a doctorate in human development and family sciences at Mississippi State University.

Buckley is a graduate of the University of New Mexico, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in journalism with a minor in business.

Samuels holds a bachelor’s degree from Rutgers University in New Jersey and a master’s degree from Montclair State University. She is currently pursuing a doctorate in organizational change and leadership at the University of Southern California.

Ussery is a three-time graduate of the University of Mississippi, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in journalism and English, master’s degree in journalism, and juris doctorate.

Simwanza-Johnson received her juris doctorate from the Thomas M. Cooley Law School.

Guimont holds a bachelor’s degree in English language and literature from Michigan State University and a master of library and information sciences degree in digital preservation and archives from the University of Michigan.

Monroe holds an MBA from Michigan State University.
