Dr. Meighen comes to Concord University from the University of North Carolina System, where she has been serving as a key student affairs administrator for the system's 17 constituent institutions.
“I look forward to collaborating with the college’s exceptional team and the board of trustees to build on RCC’s strong foundation and ensure that we continue providing transformative opportunities for students and the broader community,” said Dr. Cox, who will begin her presidency on May 1.
Dr. Shroat-Lewis has been a faculty member at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock for over a decade. The Association of Women Geoscientists recently honored her for her outstanding teaching and mentoring contributions.
