Holley Roberts to Oversee Academic Affairs at Georgia College & State University

Holley Roberts has been selected to serve as interim provost and vice president for academic affairs at Georgia College & State University. She will begin her new role on August 19.

Currently, Dr. Roberts serves as Georgia College & State University’s associate provost for academic affairs and director of the Graduate School. She first joined the institution in 2005 as an instructor in the department of teacher education and has since earned the rank of full professor. Over the course of her nearly two-decades-long tenure, she has held several leadership roles within the John H. Lounsbury College of Education including director of assessment and accreditation, interim chair of the department of teacher education, and interim associate dean. Earlier in her career, she served as a K-12 teacher in both public and private school settings.

Dr. Roberts is a two-time alumna of Georgia College & State University, where she earned her bachelor’s degree and master’s degree in early childhood education. She holds a doctorate in curriculum studies from Georgia Southern University.
