Dr. Roberts brings nearly two-decades of experience as an educator and administrator at Georgia College and State University to her new role. She will begin her new position on August 19.
Since 2017, Cox has been serving as dean of Mercer University School of Law in Macon, Georgia. Earlier, she was president of Young Harris College in Young Harris, Georgia, for 10 years. Cox served two terms in the Georgia House of Representatives and later was the first woman in the state’s history to be elected Secretary of State in Georgia.
Last month, Carol Ann Boyer, Kay Brooks, Susan Copeland, Chioma Okereke, and Laurie Parkman earned the doctor of nursing practice degree from Georgia College & State University in Milledgeville. They are the first students to earn doctoral degrees at the institution.
Dr. Brown was the interim dean at the College of Health and Human Performance at the University of Florida and previously served for five years as associate dean for academic affairs.
