Lori Kloos Appointed President of St. Cloud Technical & Community College in Minnesota

The Minnesota State Board of Trustees has appointed Lori Kloos as president of St. Cloud Technical & Community College. Kloos has been serving as interim president of the college since July 2022.

Devinder Malhotra, chancellor of the Minnesota State University System said that President Kloos “is a dedicated and principled leader with an analytical mind, keen attention to details, and excellent communication skills. She is well regarded and well connected with the greater St. Cloud community and the greater region and has been a critical member of the administration at St. Cloud Technical & Community College for over two decades. Lori will indeed be a steady hand and provide the strong leadership that the college and community are asking for.”

St. Cloud Community & Technical College enrolls just over 3,600 students according to the most recent data available from the U.S. Department of Education. Women make up 61 percent of the student body.

From 2000 to 2022, Kloos served as vice president of administration and chief financial officer at St. Cloud Technical and Community College. She also served as SCTCC’s interim president from 2017 to 2018 and as acting president in 2005 and 2022.

President Kloos earned a bachelor’s degree from what is now Minnesota State University-Moorhead.
