Cedar Crest College to Offer a New Accelerated Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing Program

Cedar Crest College, the selective liberal arts educational institution for women in Allentown, Pennsylvania, has announced that it will offer an accelerated bachelor of science in nursing degree program. The new full-time program is designed for students who already hold a bachelor’s degree in a non-nursing specialty but who now want to pursue a career in nursing.
The new program will be in an accelerated, 15-month format that allows a student the opportunity to start a career as a nurse quickly. The innovative curriculum also includes graduate-level courses that can give students a head start on a master’s degree in nursing.
“Cedar Crest’s School of Nursing takes a holistic approach to education. We combine strong academics with real-world experiences. Our approach transforms students into nurse leaders,” said Dr. Wendy Robb, dean of the School of Nursing. Dr. Robb is a a graduate of Gwynedd Mercy University in Gwynedd Valley, Pennsylvania. She holds a master’s degree from DeSales University in Center Valley, Pennsylvania and a Ph.D. from Widener University in Chester, Pennsylvania.
The School of Nursing at Cedar Crest College posted a 100 percent pass rate on the National Council Licensure Examination for 2018-2019.
