Janet Spriggs Named Seventh President of Forsyth Technical Community College in Winston-Salem, North Carolina

Janet N. Spriggs has been appointed as the seventh president of Forsyth Technical Community College in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. The community college enrolls about 7,800 students, 59 percent of whom are women. Dr. Spriggs will begin her tenure as president on January 1, 2019.

Dr. Spriggs comes to Forsyth from Rowan-Cabarrus Community College in Salisbury, North Carolina, where she served as chief operating officer. Earlier, she served as vice president and chief financial officer for the community college. Dr. Spriggs has served in the North Carolina Community College System for the past 22 years.

Dr. Spriggs holds a bachelor’s degree in general computer and information sciences from Roger Williams University in Bristol, Rhode Island, a master’s degree in computing technology in education from Nova Southeastern University in Florida, and doctorate in higher education administration from Northeastern University in Boston.
