Ora Pescovitz Appointed President of Oakland University in Rochester Hills, Michigan

Ora Hirsch Pescovitz was named the seventh president of Oakland University in Rochester Hills, Michigan. Since 2014, she has been serving as senior vice president for Eli Lilly and Company, a pharmaceutical company headquartered in Indianapolis. She also served as an adjunct professor at the Indiana University School of Medicine.
Dr. Pescovitz is a pediatric endocrinologist with more than 190 academic papers to her credit. Before becoming an executive at Eli Lilly, Dr. Pescovitz was executive vice president for medical affairs and CEO of the University of Michigan Health System. Earlier, she was a faculty member at Indiana University for 21 years.
Dr. Pescovitz is a graduate of Northwestern University and the Northwestern University Medical School. She is a past president of the Society for Pediatric Research.
