Five Women Taking on New Administrative Duties in Higher Education

Wanda Ford was appointed interim vice president for finance and administration and chief financial officer at Florida A&M University in Tallahassee. A member of the university’s staff since 2001, Dr. Ford has been serving as executive director of the university’s Title III programs.
Dr. Ford is a graduate of Albany State University in Georgia, where she majored in accounting. She holds a master’s degree and a doctorate in organizational management.
Pamela Fry was named provost and vice president for academic affairs at the Tulsa campus of Oklahoma State University. She has been serving in the post on an interim basis since August. She is the former dean of the College of Education at the university. Before joining the faculty at Oklahoma State in 2001, Dr. Fry served on the faculty at the University of Oklahoma for 12 years.
Dr. Fry is a graduate of the University of Oklahoma. She earned a master’s degree in applied behavioral studies and a doctoral degree in curriculum and supervision at Oklahoma State University.
Angela Clements was promoted to assistant vice president for advancement at the Boonshoft School of Medicine at Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio. She was the executive director for development at the medical school. From 2012 to 2015, Clements was the director of major gifts.
Earlier in her career, Clements was a senior development officer for the Dayton Foundation. A certified public accountant, Clements is graduate of the University of Cincinnati, where she majored in business administration.
Kelly Lucas is the new director of the Thad Cochran Marine Aquaculture Center at the Gulf Coast Research Laboratory of the University of Southern Mississippi. Since 2013 she served as the chief scientific officer for the Mississippi Department of Marine Resources.
Dr. Lucas is a graduate of Mississippi State University, where she majored in microbiology. She holds an MBA from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, and a Ph.D. in coastal sciences from the University of Southern Mississippi.
Jessica Lee was appointed director of admissions at Princeton University in New Jersey. She has been on the admissions staff at the university since 2013, most recently holding the title of associate dean of admission. She is the former associate director of admissions at Barnard College in New York City.
Lee is a graduate of Mount Holyoke College, where she majored in psychology. She earned a master’s degree in higher education from Teachers College at Columbia University in New York.
