Saint Mary’s College in Indiana Names a New President

The new president of Saint Mary's CollegeSaint Mary’s College in Notre Dame, Indiana, has named Janice A. Cervelli as its 12th president. She will begin her term as president on June 1.

Saint Mary’s College is a liberal arts educational institution for women, adjacent to the campus of the University of Notre Dame. It enrolls about 1,500 undergraduate students.

Cervelli currently serves as a professor and dean of the College of Architecture and Landscape Architecture at the University of Arizona in Tucson. Before joining the faculty at the University of Arizona in 2008, she was dean of the College of Architecture, Arts, and Humanities at Clemson University in South Carolina for seven years. Earlier, Professor Cervelli taught for 19 years at the University of Kentucky.

A native of South Bend, Indiana, Professor Cervelli is a graduate of Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana. She holds a master’s degree in landscape architecture from the University of Guelph in Ontario, Canada.
