Qinghong Zhang, an associate professor of dermatology on the Anschutz Medical Campus of the University of Colorado in Aurora, was found dead in her laboratory on campus on March 5. She was 47 years old. The director of the medical campus said that the cause of death is under investigation.
Dr. Zhang’s research focused on therapeutics for skin diseases such as psoriasis.
Dr. Zhang was a graduate of the University of Science and Technology in China and held a Ph.D. in physiological chemistry from the University of Wisconsin. She conducted postdoctoral research at the Vollum Institute in Portland, Oregon.
