University of Delaware Scholar Named to Editorial Post at the Journal of Glaciology

Cathleen Geiger - GeographyCathleen Geiger, a research associate professor in the College of Earth, Ocean, and Environment of the University of Delaware, was named sea ice science editor for the Journal of Glaciology. The journal is published by the International Glaciological Society.

Dr. Geiger joined the faculty at the University of Delaware in 2007. Previously, she worked at the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Cold Regions Research and Engineering Laboratory in Hanover, New Hampshire.

Dr. Geiger is a magna cum laude graduate of Long Island University. She holds a master’s degree in polar oceanography from the University of Bergen in Norway and a Ph.D. from the Thayer School of Engineering at Dartmouth College.
