Three New Associate Professors at Colorado College

Colorado_College_sealThe board of trustees at Colorado College in Colorado Springs, has approved promotions for five faculty members. Three of these promotions were granted to women.

Davis-GreenMarie Davis-Green was promoted to associate professor of theatre and dance. She is a graduate of Colorado State University, where she majored in dance performance studies. Davis-Green earned a master of fine arts degree in set and costume design from Yale University.

grayEmilie Gray was named associate professor of animal ecophysiology in the department of organismal biology and ecology. She has been on the college’s faculty since 2009. Dr. Gray is a graduate of the University of Rennes in France. She holds a master’s degree in environmental studies from the French Institute for Research and Development in Orleans and a Ph.D. in ecology and evolutionary biology from the University of California, Irvine.

marinescuAndreea Marinescu was promoted to associate professor of Spanish. She teaches courses on Latin American film, modern Hispanic American literature, among other topics. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Spanish and cellular and molecular biology and a Ph.D. in Spanish from the University of Michigan.

Nicole Reaves has been serving as executive vice president and chief programs officer at Wake Technical Community College in Raleigh, North Carolina. On July 15, she is slated to become the first woman president of Schenectady County Community College within the State University of New York System.
