College of Biblical Studies Offers New Degree Program in Women’s Ministry

CBS logoThe College of Biblical Studies in Houston has announced that it is offering a new bachelor’s degree program in women’s ministry. Also being offered is a minor degree program in the ministry of the pastor’s wife.

According to the college, “this degree program will encompass all that a woman needs to lead efficiently and effectively, including proficiency in analytical reasoning, strong research skills pertaining to current and past issues related to women, effective writing, financial management and critical thinking on worldview issues with an emphasis on women.”

venessaellenVenessa Ellen, program coordinator and professor at the College of Biblical Studies, says that “our students and women in the community have been asking for a specialized degree program for women. We hear them loud and clear and the launch of this new program is our way of providing the instruction and preparation they so desperately want.”

Dr. Ellen is a graduate of the College of Biblical Studies. She holds a master’s degree and a Ph.D. in church administration and the women’s ministry from the Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas.
