The board of trustees of the University of Wyoming has approved the appointments of three women to the university’s faculty.
Leah LeFebvre was appointed instructor in the department of communication and journalism. She recently earned a Ph.D. in communication studies from the University of Texas at Austin. Dr. LeFebvre is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse, where she majored in communication and political science. She holds a master’s degree in communication from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
Sarah Benson-Amram was named assistant professor in the department of zoology and physiology. Dr. Benson-Amram is a graduate of Cornell University in Ithaca, New York, where she majored in neurobiology with a concentration in animal behavior. She earned a Ph.D. at Michigan State University.
Allison M. Mann was appointed clinical assistant professor in the School of Pharmacy. She earned her bachelor’s degree at the University of Colorado at Boulder with a double major in chemistry and biochemistry. She holds a doctor of pharmacy degree from the University of Colorado at Denver.
With more than 30 years of experience in higher education, Dr. Richtermeyer has spent the past three years as executive vice chancellor for academic affairs and provost at Rutgers University-Camden
Cheryl Norman was appointed president of Ridgewater College in Minnesota and Ellen Kennedy was named interim president of Cape Cod Community College in Massachusetts.
Dr. Scarlatta has led the University of Michigan-Dearbon on an interim basis for the past year. Pending approval from the board of regents, she is slated to become the university's permanent leader on May 22.
Nicole Reaves has been serving as executive vice president and chief programs officer at Wake Technical Community College in Raleigh, North Carolina. On July 15, she is slated to become the first woman president of Schenectady County Community College within the State University of New York System.
