Five Women Are the First Doctoral Graduates of Georgia College & State University

Last month, five women earned the doctor of nursing practice degree from Georgia College & State University in Milledgeville. They are the first students to earn doctoral degrees in the 125-year history of the educational institution.
The five women are Carol Ann Boyer, Kay Brooks, Susan Copeland, Chioma Okereke, and Laurie Parkman. Sandra Copeland is a newly-hired faculty member at Georgia College. Dr. Chioma Okereke has secured a nursing faculty position at Kennesaw State University in Georgia.
