Three Women Appointed to Dean Positions

Margo DelliCarpini was named dean of the College of Education at Morehead State University in Kentucky. She has been serving as chair of the department of middle and high school education at Lehman College of the City University of New York. She will assume the duties of dean on January 3.
Dr. DelliCarpini hold bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral degrees from Stony Brook University of the State University of New York system.
Laura Bronstein was appointed dean of the College of Community and Public Affairs at Binghamton University, a campus of the State University of New York. She has been on the faculty at the university since 1999 and has served as interim dean since June 2013.
Dr. Bronstein is a graduate of Union College in Schenectady, New York. She holds a master of social work degree from the University at Albany in New York and a Ph.D. in social work from Barry University in Miami, Florida.
Joanne Vogel was named dean of student life and associate vice president at Southern Methodist University in Dallas. She has been serving as director of wellness and counseling and psychological services at Rollins College in Winter Park, Florida. Her appointment is effective on January 31.
Dr. Vogel is a graduate of Duke University where she majored in history and political science. She holds a master’s degree in health counseling from Stetson University in Deland, Florida, and a doctorate in counselor education and supervision from the University of Central Florida.
