Susan Mossing, the associate director of the Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning at the University of Mississippi, died late last month at her home in Oxford, Mississippi. She was 55 years old.
A native of South Haven, Michigan, Dr. Mossing served on the staff at the University of Mississippi since 1998. She worked for many years in the Academic Support Center helping students make the transition to college life.
Dr. Mossing was the valedictorian of her high school class and was a graduate of the University of Wisconsin, where she majored in psychology. She earned an MBA at Boston University and a master’s degree and a doctorate in counseling from the University of Mississippi.
