In Memoriam: Harriet Fisher Bradley, 1921-2013

HelenBradleyHarriet Fisher Bradley, the former rector of George Mason University, died late last month in Asheville, North Carolina. She was 92 years old.

A native of Washington, D.C., Bradley served as chair of the Fairfax County Planning Commission and was a member of the county’s board of supervisors from 1964 to 1971. Bradley was appointed to the George Mason University Board of Visitors in 1972 and served as rector from 1978 to 1982. She later served as vice president of the George Mason University Foundation.
