In Memoriam: Jane B. Johnsen, 1952-2013

Janie Johnsen, an assistant professor of education on the Lancaster campus of Ohio University, died at home late last month. She was 60 years old.
Dr. Johnsen joined the Ohio University faculty in 1987. She is credited with organizing the Women in Technology and Science (WITS) program on the Lancaster campus. In 2003, she was named the university’s Professor of the Year.
Dr. Johnsen was a graduate of Wittenburg University in Springfield, Ohio. She held a bachelor’s degree, a master’s degree, and a doctorate in instructional design, school media, and technology from Ohio State University.
