Kathy H. Rideout was promoted to dean of the University of Rochester School of Nursing. She has been serving as interim dean since last September and prior to that appointment was senior associate dean for academic affairs. Dr. Rideout has served as an administrator and associate professor of clinical nursing at the school for the past 26 years. She is also a pediatric nurse practitioner at Golisano Children’s Hospital.
A native of Pittsburgh, Dr. Rideout is a graduate of Indiana University of Pennsylvania. She earned a master’s degree at the University of Pittsburgh and an educational doctorate from the Warner School of Education at the University of Rochester.
