New Dean at the College of Business at CalState San Marcos

Sharon Lightner was named dean of the College of Business Administration at California State University at San Marcos. Her appointment is effective on July 1. At the current time, she is the William E. Cole Director of the Charles W. Lamden School of Accountancy at San Diego State University.

Dr. Lightner grew up on a farm in Montana. She is a graduate of the University of Montana, where she majored in accounting. She holds a master’s degree from San Diego State University and a Ph.D. from the University of Oregon.
