Gabriella Carini is director of the Cornell High Energy Synchrotron Source and Kira Reed is taking on a special assignment in community impact assessment at Syracuse University. Angel Jones and Alicia B. Batson have joined the faculties of the University of Washington Tacoma and Meharry Medical College, respectively.
For the past year, Dr. Minthorn has served as president-elect of the ASHE, a scholarly society dedicated to advancing research and policy in higher education. She will be the first Indigenous person to serve as president of the association.
A member of the Kiowa Tribe of Oklahoma, Dr. Minthorn is the first Indigenous person to serve as president in the history of the Association for the Study of Higher Education.
