The new women deans are Tracy Mulvaney at the school of Education at the University of North Carolina at Pembroke, Jelani Jefferson Exum at the St. Johns University School of Law in Queens, New York, Rachel Davis Mersey in the College of Communication at the University of Texas, and Amy Adamson at the College of Arts & Sciences at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.

Taking on new adminstrative responsibilities are Melinda Carlson at the University of Memphis, Jodi Bailey at Temple University in Philadelphia, Lisa Henderson at New Mexico State University, and Anita Stalling at the University of North Carolina at Pembroke.

Joanna Hersey is a professor of music and associate dean of student success and curriculum for the College of Arts and Sciences at the University of North Carolina at Pembroke. The award "highlights and showcases the exceptional artistic work of women in what has been a predominantly white male organization and community."

The women scholars in new roles are DeAnna Toten Beard at Baylor University in Waco, Texas, Elisha Chambers at the University of North Carolina at Pembroke, Maegan Tucker at the Georgia Institute of Technology, Erin O’Leary at the University of California, Los Angeles, and Amy Nsil at Salem College in Winston-Salem, South Carolina.

Taking on new administrative jobs are Cigdem Talgar at Tufts University in Massachusetts, Stacey Bradley at the University of South Carolina, Ahyana King at Haverford  College in Pennsylvania, Amy Armstrong at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, Jennifer McCarrel at the University of North Carolina at Pembroke, and Tammy Kenber at the University of California, Davis

The appointments went to Eva Skuka at the University of North Carolina at Pembroke, Martha Glass at Virginia Tech, Michelle Knight-Manuel at the University of Denver, Ingrid S. Fulmer at the University of Illinois, Shannon Hader at American University, Susan C. Alberts at Duke University, and Amy Murtha at the Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School.

Summer Woodside, an associate professor in the social work department at the University of North Carolina at Pembroke, is the recipient of the 2022 Gary Lee Shaffer Award for Academic Contributions to the Field of School Social Work.

Marsha A. Pollard has been appointed provost and vice chancellor for academic affairs at the University of North Carolina at Pembroke. Dorothy Campbell was appointed interim provost and chief academic officer at New Mexico State University and Vini Nathan has been named interim provost and vice president of academic affairs at Auburn University in Alabama.
