Dr. Cherney has served as the thirteenth president of Mount Mary University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, since July 2022. She is slated to step down from her role at the conclusion of her current contract in June 2027.

The women who have been selected for endowed faculty appointments are Maria Geisinger at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, Indira U. Mysorekar at Pennsylvania State University, Triparna Sen at Ohio State University, and Jennifer Lemke at the University of Nebraska Omaha.

April Paschall has received national recognition for advancing adult learning at the University of Nebraska-Omaha, where she founded a new bachelor's degree program in multidisciplinary studies.
