The women appointed to endowed chairs are Yashi Ahmed at Dartmouth College in Hanover, New Hampshire, Jalene LaMontagne at the University of Missouri-St. Louis, and Beverly Magda at Cedar Crest College in Allentown, Pennsylvania.
Beth Huebner is the Watts Endowed Professor of Public Safety and director of Arizona State University’s School of Criminology and Criminal Justice. She was honored for distinguished scholarship in the area of corrections and/or sentencing over a lifetime.
The new deans are Julia M. Ritter at the University of Southern California, Keshia Elder at the University of Missouri–St. Louis, Sonia Kreidenweis at Colorado State University, Amy Falkner at Ithaca College in New York, Lisa A. Freeman at the University of Illinois Chicago, and Stacey Altman at East Carolina University in Greenville, Nrth Carolna.
Since 2017, Dr. Orinthia T. Montague has been president of Tompkins Cortland Community College in Dryden, New York. She previously served as vice president of student affairs and chief diversity officer, and dean of students, at Normandale Community College in Bloomington, Minnesota, and as dean of students at the University of Missouri-St. Louis.
Dr. Cameron comes to Palo Alto University from the University of San Diego where she is an associate professor in the School of Leadership and Education Sciences. She has served in progressive administrative and leadership capacities since 2009.

The new leaders of diversity efforts in higher education are Peony Fhagen at Colorado College, Schvalla R. Rivera at Grinnell College in Iowa, Tanisha Stevens at the University of Missouri-St. Louis, and Karen A. Jones at Binghamton University in New York.
Dr. Sobolik has served as interim chancellor since last September. Before being named interim chancellor last fall, Dr. Sobolik served as provost and executive vice chancellor at the St. Louis campus since 2017. In 2013, she was appointed dean of the College of Liberal Arts at Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio.
Dr. Montague, who will take office on July 5, has been serving as vice president for student affairs and chief diversity officer at Normandale Community College in Bloomington, Minnesota. Earlier she was dean of students at the college.
Mary Ann Danowitz is a professor of higher education and interim dean of the College of Education at North Carolina State University. Carole G. Basile is a professor and dean of the College of Education at the University of Missouri-St. Louis.
