Lili He of the University of Massachusetts Amherst is the inaugural recipient of the Phi Tau Sigma Mid-Career Accomplishment Award, which recognizes outstanding mid-career scholars in food science research. Professor He is known for her work in analytical food chemistry and food safety.
Dr. Hayes was a member of the nursing faculty at the University of Delaware for more than three decades. In retirement, she founded and sponsored the university's annual Evelyn Hayes Innovations in Healthcare Symposium.

Joya Misra of the University of Massachusetts Amherst recently received the American Sociological Association's Jessie Bernard Award, an annual honor presented to scholars who have significantly advanced research on the role of women in society.

Danzy at Cheyney University of Pennsylvania, Nicky Gilberston at the University of South Dakota, Brandi Wells-Stone at the University of New Mexico, and Brook McArdle at Mount Mary University.
The new deans are Tomiko Brown-Nagin at Stanford University in California, Katherine Reeves at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, Wendy N. Nembhard at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, MiSchelle A. Edwards at Jarvis Christian University in Texas, Marie Ripoll at the University of Pittsburgh, and Erika C. Burt at Oakton College in Illinois.
Janis Terpenny of George Mason University is president of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers. Corine Tachtiris of the University of Massachusetts Amherst is president of the American Literary Translators Association and Mengmeng Gu of Colorado State University is president-elect of the American Society for Horticultural Science.
