Following four months of interim service, Dr. McEachern has been officially named provost of the University of Louisiana-Monroe. A faculty member for over three decades, she previously served as the first woman dean of the university's College of Business and Social Sciences.
Dr. Castille has extensive experience in agricultural policy and education. She has held key leadership roles with the U.S. Department of Agriculture and the University of Tennessee.
Dr. Johnston was president of the College of Coastal Georgia. Previously, she served as president of the University of Rio Grande in Ohio and held administrative and faculty positions with the University of Montevallo in Alabama, the University of Louisiana Monroe, and Mississippi State University.

Jessi Hitchins has been named the new senior director for student life at the University of Nebraska at Omaha. Valerie S. Fields was appointed vice president for student affairs at the University of Louisiana Monroe and Tamara Williams has been appointed interim vice president for workforce solutions at Tidewater Community College in Virginia.
Nancy Albright Lowery taught nursing at the Univesity of Louisiana-Monroe for 40 years including the first class of students at what is now the Kitty DeGree School of Nursing. She was president of the Louisiana State Board of Nursing in the 1980s.
Williamson became director of the Child Development Center at the University of Louisiana-Monroe in 2003 and remained in that post until her death. She served as an instructor in family and consumer sciences from 2003 to 2010. She then became an instructor in the School of Education.
