Haley Duschinski, Rachel Roberts, Cynthia Carnes, and Liz Legerski are taking on new academic leadership roles at Ohio University, the University of Cincinnati, the University of Minnesota, and the University of North Dakota, respectively.

Laurel Smith-Doerr is a Provost Professor at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, Lindsey Welch was promoted to full professor at Cedar Crest College, and Liza Stepanova joined the faculty of the University of Cincinnati. Anjali Iyer-Pascuzzi of Purdue University and Jennifer Olmsted of Wayne State University have been promoted to head of their departments.

UCLA's Kelly Lytle Hernández is vice president of the Society of American Historians. Nichole Price will direct a new research center at Colby College and Ivonne Miranda was awarded tenure at Cedar Crest College. Hiu Li is a Distinguished Research Professor at Florida State University and Florida A&M University and Danbi Um has joined the University of Cincinnati faculty.

Monica J. Posey was named president of Cincinnati State Technical and Community College in 2016, making her the first African American woman president of a major educational institution in the Cincinnati metropolitan area. Vanderbilt’s Martha Dudek Receives National Award in Genetic Counseling

The National Society of Genetic Counselors has honored Martha Dudek for her leadership and contributions to the discipline. At Vanderbilt University, she founded a master's degree program and a graduate-level certificate in genetic counseling, as well as a fellowship in genomics research.
