A longtime leader in higher education, Dr. Sias served as president of Kentucky State University from 2004 to 2014. In 2023, she was named interim president of Texas Southern University.
Dr. Buckner-Brown brings over two decades of experience in higher education and public health to her new role. She has recently served as Alcorn's interim provost and associate provost for undergraduate education and success.
For the past six years, Dr. Walter has served as an administrator at Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College, most recently as the executive vice president of enrollment management, student success, and institutional relations. Prior to that, she served in various administrative roles at Delgado Community College in New Orleans for 18 years.
