Kathleen Poorman Dougherty Selected as the Next Provost at Marietta College in Ohio
Dr. Dougherty was the provost and senior vice president for academic affairs at Alma College in Michigan from 2018 to 2022 and has been on sabbatical this past year. Earlier, she served as the inaugural dean for the School of Humanities and subsequently led the School of Humanities, Social Sciences, and Education at Mount Mary University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Dr. Rundell Singer is currently the vice president for academic affairs and provost at Rollins College in Winter Park, Florida, where she is also a professor in the department of biology. Before joining Rollins College in 2016, Dr. Rundell Singer served as the director for the Division of Undergraduate Education at the National Science Foundation.

Kij Johnson, an assistant professor of English at the University of Kansas, received the 2017 World Fantasy Award at the World Fantasy Association convention in San Antonio, Texas. She previously won a Nebula Award for the best short story and a Hugo Award for the nest novella.
