Midland University Chooses a Business Executive for Its Next President

President hire bannerThe board of directors of Midland University in Fremont, Nebraska, has announced the appointment of Jody Horner as the 16th president of the educational institution. The university, located just west of Omaha, enrolls about 1,200 undergraduate students and 100 graduate students, according to the latest Department of Education data. Women make up 50 percent of the student body.

Horner has been serving as president of Cargill Meat Solutions and Cargill Case Ready, divisions of the huge agricultural conglomerate based in Minnetonka, Minnesota. She has higher education experience, serving on the board of regents for St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minnesota. Horner will become president of Midland University on February 1.

Horner is a graduate of St. Olaf College, where she majored in economics. She holds an MBA from the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota.
