In Memoriam: Elga Ruth Wasserman, 1924-2014
A native of Berlin, Germany, Elga Wasserman and her family fled the Nazis in 1936 and settled in New York. After graduating from Smith College and obtaining a Ph.D. in organic chemistry, Dr. Wasserman oversaw the transition to co-education at Yale University.
Tuck Bridge Program for Business Expands to the Campus of Smith College

In Memoriam: Elizabeth Hunt Davis Mazzocco, 1958-2014
Dr. Mazzocco was director of the Five College Center for the Study of World Languages in Amherst, Massachusetts. The center offers courses in less commonly taught languages for pools of students from Amherst College, Hampshire College, Mount Holyoke College, and Smith College and the University of Massachusetts Amherst.

Since 2009 Dr. Haddon has been dean of the Carey School of Law at the University of Maryland. Before becoming dean in 2009, Haddon served on the faculty at the Beasley School of Law at Temple University in Philadelphia.

Katherine Anandi Rowe joined the Bryn Mawr College faculty in 1998 and was promoted to full professor in 2004. From 1992 to 1998, she was an assistant professor of English at Yale University.

Smith College Names Art Gallery for Its Departing President
Smith College has announced that it is creating the Carol T. Christ Asian Art Gallery at the Smith College Museum of Art. President Christ has served as president since 2002 and will retire at the end of the academic year.
