Dr. Sortino comes to her new role after nearly a decade with Gwynedd Mercy University in Pennsylvania, where she most recently served as dean of the School of Business and Education.
Dr. Rifenbary joined the faculty at the University of New Mexico in 1990 as an assistant professor of counselor education. In addition to serving as interim dean, she served as chair of the department of individual, family, and community education. Dr. Rifenbary retired in 2020.
Erin Entrada Kelly, a professor in the graduate program in creative writing at Rosemont College, is the recipient of the John Newbery Medal. The award is the highest honor given out by the American Library Association for a children's book.
