Misty Lambert, an associate professor of agricultural education at Iowa State University, received the 2019 Educator Award from the North American Colleges and Teachers of Agriculture. Dr. Lambert joined the faculty at Iowa State University in 2017, after serving as director of teacher education at Oregon State University.

Researchers at Oregon State University and the United States Forest Service have conducted a study of diversity in the field of fisheries science. The study found that women make up only 27 percent of the assistant professors and 15 percent of the full professors in fisheries science.
