The new deans are Janice Zgibor at the University of South Florida, Angela Gilmore at the University of the District of Columbia, Windy Ann Mack Stephenson at South Carolina State University, Heidi Getchell-Bastien at Northern Essex Community College, Lisa Reyes Mason at the University of Illinois, and Vanessa B. Sheppard at Florida A&M University.
A lifelong teacher, Hope-McCarthy spent most of her career as a professor at Northern Essex Community College in Haverhill, Massachusetts. She took pride in teaching and was committed to never teaching the same syllabus twice.
Delia Saenz was named vice chancellor and chief diversity officer at the University of California Merced. Anya Dani is the new director of community engagement and inclusive practice in the conservation of cultural heritage at UCLA and Francellis Quiñones has been selected as the first chief officer of justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion for Northern Essex Community College in Haverhill, Massachusetts.
