The Camille and Henry Dreyfus Foundation has announced the selection of eight new Henry Dreyfus Teacher-Scholars for 2025. Six are women: Jeanine Amacher of Western Washington University, Shuming Chen of Oberlin College, Melissa Gordon of Lafayette College, Geneva Laurita of Bates College, Julie Pollock of the University of Richmond and Kathryn Riley of Swarthmore College.
Lafayette College, the selective liberal arts educational institution in Easton, Pennsylvania, has announced that nine faculty members have been promoted to the rank of associate professor and granted tenure. Six of these promotions went to women.

The appointments to endowed professorships are Suzette Malveaux at Washington and Lee University, Jennifer Steffy at Vincennes University, Michelle Geoffrin-Vinci at Lafayette College, Martha Castañeda at Miami University, and Laba Obradovic at the University of Nebraska-Omaha.
The appointments are Lisa Lattanza at Yale, Jennifer Talarico at Lafayette College, Desiree Díaz at the University of Central Florida, Doris Wagner at the University of Pennsylvania, Emily McCobb at the University of California, Davis, Aimee Crawford at Central Connecticut State University, and Chantal de Jonge Oudraat at George Washington University.
The women appointed to endowed chairs are Fiona Doherty Yale Law School, Madhuri Kango-Singh at the University of Dayton, Meryl "Mimi" Winick at Virginia Commonwealth University, Lisa Gabel at Lafayette College, Ladda Thiamwong at the University of Central Florida, Ebony McGee at Johns Hopkins University, and Marlyse Baptista at the University of Pennsylvania.
Dr. Honig taught at Lafayette College and Yale University, before joining the University of California, Santa Cruz in 1992 where she would teach for the next 28 years.
Dr. Rossmann, the Baird Professor of Mechanical Engineering at Lafayette College in Easton, Pennsylvania, was recently presented with the 2023 Sterling Olmsted Award. The award recognizes those who have made distinguished contributions to the development and teaching of liberal arts in engineering education.
Dr. Bookwala is the former dean of the faculty and currently is a professor of psychology at Lafayette College in Easton, Pennsylvania. She has also served as dean of academic initiatives and dean of curriculum and research at Lafayette College. She joined the psychology department faculty in 2001 and has served as department chair.
The three women appointed to endowed faculty posts are Jhumpa Lahiri at Barnard College in New York City, Lauren Anderson at Lafayette College in Easton, Pennsylvania, and Allison Curseen at Boston College.
