Taking on new duties are Jennifer Hall-Jones at Grand Valley State University in Michigan, Shea Kidd Brown at Wake Forest University in North Carolina, Lissy Garrison at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts, Lisa VanDeWeert at Kalamazoo College in Michigan. Kimberly Davidson at George Mason University in Virginia, Amy Shoemaker at Miami University in Ohio, and DeNeia Thomas at Texas Southern University.
Dr. Scott became the eighth dean of the School of Nursing at the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2016. Earlier she was associate dean for academic affairs, director of graduate studies, and urban health at the University of Illinois at Chicago’s College of Nursing.
Currently, Dr. Joseph serves as interim chancellor of Indiana University South Bend. She was executive vice chancellor for academic affairs at the South Bend campus before she was asked to step into her current role. Earlier in her career, she served as dean of the College of Education at Eastern Michigan University.
Currently, Dr. Mantella serves as the senior vice president and chief executive officer of the Lifelong Learning Network at Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts. She has been an administrator at Northeastern since 2001.
Maria Cimitile joined the faculty at Grand Valley State University in 1999 as an assistant professor of philosophy. She has served as associate dean for students and curriculum in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences and for the past two years has been associate vice president for academic affairs.
On July 7, Susan Martin stepped down as president of Eastern Michigan University in Ypsilanti. Eleven days later, she was appointed interim president of San Jose State University. She is expected to serve in her new role until June 30, 2016.
The new deans are Diana R. Lawson at Grand Valley State University in Michigan, Fredda Carroll at the University of Arkansas Pine Bluff, Maria Marron at the University of Nebraska and Laura Burney Nissen at Portland State University.
