The new deans are Stephanie Pilat, Courtney Catledge, Kala Burrell-Craft, Marieke Van Puymbroeck, Jean VanderGheynst, Marty Sexton, Sarah Jane Rhoads, and Melissa E. Trego.

Ambrose was a faculty member and administrator at Southern University and A&M College in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, for over three decades. She held several leadership roles throughout her tenure, including one year of service as interim chancellor.

Dr. Walton has been serving as the institution’s provost and vice president for academic affairs and has worked at Grambling for over 30 years. Dr. Walton has been a professor of chemistry at the university. Her research focuses on the synthesis and characterization of molecules that exhibit liquid crystalline behavior and polymer synthesis. She holds two U.S. patents.

Prior to coming to Huston-Tillotson University, Dr. Williams held numerous positions within the Southern University System in Louisiana including, executive associate to the chancellor, assistant vice chancellor and vice chancellor for student affairs and enrollment management at Southern University-Shreveport, vice chancellor at Southern University-New Orleans, and system chief of staff.
