Dr. Sortino comes to her new role after nearly a decade with Gwynedd Mercy University in Pennsylvania, where she most recently served as dean of the School of Business and Education.

Dr. Marti has served as interim president since January 2, 2023. Earlier, she was president of Fairmont State University in West Virginia from 2018 to 2022 and president of Fort Hays State University in Kansas from 2014 to 2016.
Dr. Phillips has been serving as vice president of academic affairs and provost at the university. Prior to her tenure at Fairmont State, Phillips served as the president of the Harford Community College in Bel Air, Maryland. Earlier, she was the chief executive officer of the Community College of the University of the District of Columbia.ÂÂ

Carolyn Long has been serving as interim chancellor of the West Virginia Higher Education Policy Commission since July 2018. Earlier she was the president of of West Virginia University Institute of technology from 2011 to 2018.
For the past seven years, Long has served as president of the West Virginia University Institute of Technology in Beckley. She is the former chair of the West Virginia University Board of Governors. Earlier, she served as superintendent of the Braxton County, West Virginia, school system.
Dr. Dudley-Eshbach was named president of Salisbury University in 2000. She is the first woman to hold the position and the longest-serving woman president in the history of the University of Maryland System. She will take a one year sabbatical and return to the university as full-time faculty member.
Mirta M. Martin is the former president of Fort Hays State University in Kansas. From 2009 to 2014, she was a professor of management and dean of the Reginald F. Lewis School of Business at Virginia State University.
