Karen Gaines was named acting president of Norwich University in Vermont, the nation's oldest private military academy. Women make up just 28 percent of the undergraduate student body.
Since 2014, Dr. Mardell Wilson, a registered dietitian and licensed dietitian nutritionist, has been dean of the Edward and Margaret Doisy College of Health Sciences at Saint Louis University. Earlier, she spent 17 years as a faculty member and administrator at Illinois State Unversity.
Dr. Mason has been serving as president of Valley City State University, a 1,500-student educational institution west of Fargo, North Dakota. She is a former vice president for student affairs at Fort Hays State University. Dr. Mason has also served as dean of student life at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater.
