Dr. Longino was a longtime professor of romance studies at Duke University in North Carolina. She was a prominent scholar of seventeenth-century French literature and the author of several books.
In 1977, she joined the staff at what was then Dominican College. She was named president in 1979 and served until 1987 when she left to lead the Congregation of the Sisters of St. Dominic of Blauvelt for six years. In 1997, she was chosen to serve again as president of the college and has remained in the position ever since.
Dr. Carroll recently completed a 27-year presidency at Dominican University in River Forest, Illinois. She is expected to lead North Central College for the coming academic year while a search for a permanent president is conducted.
Cheryl Oestreicher is head of Special Collections and Archives and associate professor at Boise State University in Idaho. The Waldo Gifford Leland Award given by the Society of American Archivists is given for writing “of superior excellence and usefulness in the fields of archival history, theory, and practice."

A native of the United Kingdom, Dr. Pitchford came to Dominican University in 2011 after teaching at Fordham University in New York. She currently serves as vice president for academic affairs, dean of the faculty, and as a professor of English.
After teaching at the high school level, Dr. Carney joined the faculty at Claremont McKenna College in 1987 as as an assistant professor of literature. At the college, she also served as director of the Writing Center and director of senior thesis programs. She retired from teaching in 2003.
Susan O'Hara was a long-time leader of the disability rights movement and the former director of the Disabled Students Residence Program at the University of California, Berkeley.
Amy McCormack has been serving as senior vice president for finance and administration at Dominican University in River Forest, Illinois. She will take over as president on July 1.
Mary-Rita Moore has been serving as interim president of Triton College since January. Previously she was associate vice president of strategic planning at the college, which is located just west of Chicago.
