A Colgate faculty member for over four decades, Dr. Klenck was a scholar of British fiction, an advocate for study abroad opportunities, and a professional soprano vocalist.
Michele Schiele, LaTonya Branham, Kathryn Griffo, April Kauli, Kim Harris, and Atia Garrett-Washington are taking on new administrative duties at six universities across the country.

Dr. Elder teaches courses on American politics. Her research explores the intersection of gender, race, and parenthood in shaping political attitudes as well as the reasons for women’s continued underrepresentation in elective office. She won the 2022 Victoria Schuck Award from the American Political Science Association for best book published on women and politics.
Lesleigh Cushing, Murray W. and Mildred K. Finard Professor in Jewish studies and professor of religion at Colgate Univerity in Hamilton, New York, has been named provost. And, Patricia A. Marshall will be the next provost and vice president of academic affairs at Fitchburg State University in Massachusetts.
Taking on new administrative duties are Erin Martinovich at Alfred University in New York, Penya M. Moses at Grambling State University in Louisiana, Robyn Fergus at Colorado State University, Terri Stewart at Colgate University in Hamilton, New York, Cat Alves at the John Jay College of Criminal Justice in New York, Jennifer Bischoff at Vanderbilt University, and Courtney Chartier at Columbia University.
The four women who have been named to diversity positions are Margie Gill at Brenau University in Gainesville, Georgia, Sherrae Mack at Xavier University in Cincinnati, Renee Madison at Colgate University in Hamilton, New York, and Katrina Rugless at the University of Pikeville in Kentucky.
The three women taking on diversity roles at universities are Laura Jack at Colgate University in Hamilton, New York, Brandi Elliott at the University of Cincinnati, and Nefertiti Walker at the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
Theresa Keeley, an assistant professor of history at the University of Louisville, was honored for her book on the role of the faith community, in particular the Maryknoll order, on U.S. policy in Central America in the 1980s.
